Md is an asylum seeker and survivor of modern slavery and human trafficking. He brings lived experience and survivor voice and perspective to his role as trustee. He is passionate about helping others, and has won numerous awards and plaudits for his campaign work around accessing higher education for refugees and asylum seekers, as well as for the support he offers to vulnerable people in his community.

“My experience of the system motivated me to study law and to join the Board of Trustees at Causeway so that I could learn more about the sector, and to provide insight from my lived experience of trafficking. I am studying law at Northumbria University and am passionate about campaigning for the rights of refugees and asylum seekers.”
